Order intake in the mechanical engineering sector in Baden-Württemberg slipped into the red in October. The decline compared to the same month last year is 5 per cent overall (domestic: - 1 per cent, foreign: - 7 per cent).
The order intake in the mechanical engineering sector in Baden-Württemberg recorded a 7 percent increase in September compared to the same month last year, the first time this year.
With the "Industry 4.0 Talents" competition, the Baden-Württemberg Industry 4.0 Alliance would like to make the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects in training at industrial companies visible.

In June 2020, incoming orders in the Baden-Wuerttemberg mechanical and plant engineering industry are 11 percent below the level of the same month last year.

As expected, the massive effects of the corona pandemic on mechanical engineering in Baden-Württemberg are becoming apparent in April with a minus of 41 percent compared to the same month last year.
